Prepare your skin for the sun naturally

How to prepare your skin for the sun?

While it is often pleasant to have tanned skin after a little getaway in the sun, there are a few tips to apply before exposure for a beautiful tanned complexion. But what are the keys to a successful tan ?

First of all, food! Favor colorful fruits and vegetables (reds, oranges and yellows) such as carrots, apricots, peppers and tomatoes, which are rich in beta -carotene. To promote cell reconstruction, after UV rays have passed through the skin, rely on essential fatty acids such as omega 3 and 6. You will find them in the vegetable oils of linseed, rapeseed, walnut, grape seed, sunflower, wheat germ, oilseeds or even Egg yolk. Always to preserve the skin, stock up on foods rich in antioxidants such as prunes, red grapes, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, pomegranate, kiwi, spinach, broccoli and red peppers.

Prepare your skin from the outside

If the food provides you with interesting nutrients to prepare your skin for the sun, such as beta-carotene, essential fatty acids and antioxidants, there are two oils particularly recommended for depositing a tanned veil on your skin. These are vegetable oils from carrots and apricot kernels, which are also rich in beta-carotene. A few weeks before exposure, do not hesitate to practice exfoliation to have a more harmonious tan. Once under the sun, remember to gradually expose yourself (1 hour on the 1st day, 1h30 on the 2nd, etc.) and apply sunscreen with SPF30 minimum every two hours. Is your tan not strong enough for your taste? In this case, why not try a self-tanner with active ingredients that will naturally make your skin color?.
